Sir Mix-a-Lot Saw the Future

Brazilian Butt LiftIf you’re reading this you’re probably old enough to remember when Kate Moss was the world’s most popular supermodel. It seemed like her emaciated, curveless figure was on every magazine cover. But when “real” women tried to emulate Moss they realized a diet of a rice cake and some broth wasn’t all it was cracked up to be. Plus, they decided they liked their feminine curves, thank you very much!

A popular song of the time was initially somewhat scandalous in this skinny environment. Sir Mix-a-lot’s popular Baby’s Got Back from 1992 made a stir with its touting of women with bigger backsides…with more “back.”

Seems like he was 24 years before his time. Today bigger booties are celebrated. From Nicki Minaj to Kim Kardashian, from J-Lo to Meghan Trainor, everyone’s touting their “bass.”

So, what are you waiting for? Dr. Moskovitz can give you a Brazilian Butt Lift for a rounder, shapelier backside.

What is a Brazilian Butt Lift?

Really more of an enhancement than a “lift,” a Brazilian Butt Lift is a form of butt augmentation, but it differs dramatically from augmentation with implants. In a Brazilian Butt Lift, Dr. Moskovitz uses the patient’s own fat for the augmentation. In implant augmentation, implants are surgically placed and the results are permanent, but sometimes implants can move and require revision surgery. The consensus seems to be that Brazilian Butt Lift augmentation delivers more natural looking results.

How is a Brazilian Butt Lift performed?

A Brazilian Butt Life also has a secondary benefit — it uses liposuction of fat from an unwanted area to provide the fat for re-injection. The procedure begins with sterile, closed-system liposuction. Fat is harvested from an unwanted area (most popular areas are the lower back, waist, flanks, thighs, and stomach). Small incisions are made. Local anesthesia is infused first, and then a thin cannula is inserted and moved back and forth to loosen the fat pockets in the area. The cannula then suctions out the fat. Up to three times the amount of fat that will be re-injected may be harvested. By removing fat, it not only provides the raw material for the buttock enhancement, but it also contours the areas around the butt for a more dramatic result.

Next, the fat, tissue, and blood that were suctioned out are processed to separate the fat. Dr. Moskovitz then re-injects the fat back into the buttocks through hundreds of tiny injections all over your buttocks. Dr. Moskovitz pays particular attention to the upper buttocks, so the entire area looks youthfully lifted.

How long do results take?

Results are immediately visible, but they keep improving with time because it takes some time for the fat to “take.” It can take a full year before a patient’s full results are visible. Over time, some of the initial volume from your fat grafting procedure will diminish. On average, patients retain 60 to 80% of the transferred fat, with the body absorbing the rest.

Are you interested in losing some fat where you don’t want it and strategically putting it where you do? Call Dr. Moskovitz at 201-225-1101 and set up a consultation for a Brazilian Butt Lift.
